blessing, covenant, faithful, Jesus, marriage, new season, promise

Almost 18 years ago my husband and I made a covenant {promise by a pledge: to enter into a contract} to each other. We took vows. Little did we know that those vows would be tested and tried. Our promise to each other and God has been the glue at times when we wanted to give up. We’ve experienced some good times, bad times, and some really ugly times. I’m not gonna lie there were times I wanted to throw in the towel. It seemed easier to just walk away and take a loss but God never, EVER sees it that way. His word is final. His promise is a guarantee forever. No matter the journey he’s in it for life. He promises to never leave or forsake us. His love is unending and faithful irregardless of how we feel. He never doubts his decision of choosing us. We have always been his desire. I have been having dreams of getting remarried and I truly believe this word is for the church…his bride. The past years have been rocky. You wanted to walk away and give up. You’ve said to yourself it just not worth it. You’ve felt denied and neglected. I am getting ready to make a new covenant, a new promise, to you. Because you have remained faithful inspite of your feelings I will honor and show you great favor. Our relationship had to go through the testing and trials. Get ready to experience a new level of love, trust, and relationship with me. This will be a season of warm and fuzzies again. You will see and feel my love like never before!! Thank you for hanging in there with me!

Thank you Lord for your word for they are life to us. You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek you!!! Be blessed my friends this Labor Day!!

faithful, good, healer, Hebrews 10:23, Jesus, provider

Today as I opened my devotion these were the first words I read…I AM A GOD WHO HEALS. For the past 6 days I’ve been suffering with a migraine. I needed to be reminded that the Lord is a healer. Even though I didn’t receive immediate healing I know he is still a healer. My heart hurt as I imagined all who have waited and no answer. No relief. No word. Nothing. It can be a lonely and vulnerable place to wait while in pain {physically, emotionally, mentally}. I don’t understand it but I do know that God is not a liar and I can take him at his word. Someone needs to be reminded {just like me} today that no matter what you’re going through God is still…Healer. Saviour. Provider. Good and ALL that you need. Don’t be discouraged today as you wait. Be encouraged of Who you are waiting on. Rest assured today that your prayers have been heard. Keep asking. Keep believing. Stay in faith and let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering for He is faithful who promised {Hebrews 10:23}. Thank you Jesus!

Today will not be the day the Lord breaks his promise to you. Neither will tomorrow or the day after. He is unchanging and every word he has said is true. Every promise he has given will come to pass. Every ache you feel at this present moment is serving a far greater purpose. Your promise with process is nothing but an inheritance to be spent unwisely and wasted. Wait for it. Dwell there in that dry place. Even though it seems like nothing is growing there…you are! I pray Lord that everyone reading this will be infused with new hope and enduring faith. I pray that you, Lord,  remind them today of how faithful you are. Show them your goodness in their desert. Provide for every need. Illuminate their way. Strengthen them. It is not your intention that they die there. You will see them through this because of your promise!! Help us to believe again today! In Jesus name…Amen!!

Disbelief, faithful, trusting

Imagine seeing miracle after miracle; answered prayer one after the other and still doubt in your heart that God is trustworthy. The children of Israel seen the parting of the red sea, the cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to lead them. They witnessed every day the falling of manna to feed them and yet they were filled with disbelief and distrust. They panicked every time there was a struggle. They went into self-preservation mode and wanted to go back to the slavery they were just delivered out of. They complained because their accommodations were less than satisfactory. They wanted more and wanted it now. They were tired and a long ways from home.  I used to think how crazy they were to be so blind, how could they ever complain?  It’s easy to see all that God did for them and wonder how on earth they could doubt God after He performed so many victories for them.  In the past 2 years and especially in the past 2 days I have been no better than them.  Panicking, doubting, complaining, self-preservation mode, distrust and all that in one day!! How could I? It sounds so horrible and yet it is the truth of all humanity who lives and breathes. We are in an ever-growing state of learning to depend on the Lord for every thing that concerns us and knowing His truth regarding our lives helps to build that trust between Him and us. The children of Israel wandered for 40 years and some never learned that the same One who provided the cloud by day and the fire by night would be the same One who delivered them into the place they most longed for…their promise land. We all have a place we are longing to get to, a prayer we desperately need an answer too, a healing, a restored relationship, a financial miracle and so many more promises that we hold onto.  The wonderful thing is that Jesus knows all and sees all, He understands our humanity and sees our hearts. He loves us and is so patient while we learn and grow. How beautiful is that?! I have seen miracles, I am a miracle, I have known the daily provision of the Lord, I have wandered in a wilderness and have seen Him guide me and my family step by step, I have seen Him reveal Himself to me time and time again. God has been so good to me and yet I fail at times to see clearly all that He is. I have received a grace so amazing that it covers all my shortcomings and sees through to my pain. He sees me and is rooting me on even when I fall short. Because of this great love and grace I will see my promise land, I will learn, I will get there! With every victory I will trust more, with every passing day I will see His faithfulness to me! I will get to my expected end not because of how perfect I am but because of Who He is!!

Blessings,

Em
